Beauty Tips Tuesday

Tip #1
Prepare your skin for self tanning by exfoliating the skin 3-4 days prior to applying it. Also moisturize the skin following exfolation, this helps keep the skin smooth and hydrated and prevent uneven streaks.

Tip #2
For brittle free nails, avoid using nail polish that contains 'formaldehyde', this has a drying effect on the nails.

Tip #3
For smooth hair without the frizz, apply a small amount of 'aloe vera' onto your hair. It will keep the natural shine without weighing the hair down.

I hope that you find these tips helpful

Get That Golden Glow - MAC Golden Bronze Iridescent Powder Loose

Hello Lovelies, so summer is almost here and I always opt for bronzey/glowy make up. The golden Bronze Iridescent Loose powder does the job for me. It's bronzey, shimmery and it gives the skin a nice subtle sheen wherever it's applyed.

It's a loose powder that can be applied anywhere on the face to add a glowy bronze look. It can also be dusted on the chest and shoulders to give a bit of sheen. MAC describes Golden Broze as a 'Golden brown with gold bronze shimmer'. You do need to be careful when using it because if you use a heavy hand it might end up being way too shimmery.

This is a versatile product that can be used in so many ways and it lasts a very long time. I have purchased it a few years ago and I still have about 80% left.

So what can you use it for?
1) You can mix it in with your foundation or tinted moisturizer to get a glowy effect.
2) It can also be lightly applied all over the face for a bronzey glow.
3) It can be applied on the temples and cheeks to give a bit of a bronzey/glowy effect.
4) It can be used as a highlighter on the cheekbones and bridge of the nose.
5) It can be used as an eyeshadow.
6) This product can also be used on it's own as a blush.
7) You can mix it in with your lipbalm and apply it on the lips.
8) You can mix this proiduct in with your body lotion and apply it on your shoulders, legs and arms for a glowy sheen.

You can see that this product is extremely versatile and can be used in so many other ways. It's the perfect product for the summer.

Beauty Tips Tuesday

Hello Everyone, Welcome to this week's 'Beauty Tips Tuesday'.

Tip #1:
To give the illusion of longer looking lashes, apply a tiny amount of baby oil (almond oil can work too) onto the back of your hand and run a spolie in it, then apply the oil at the tip of your lashes only. This will also make the tips of your lashes look glossy.

Tip #2:
Massaging your hair for 10-20 minutes per day (with or without a type of treatment, i sometimes massage with an oil and then wash it off) encourages healthier growth and longer hair.

Tip #3:
Get rid of knots by combing your hair with a wide-tooth comb by starting from the bottom of the hair, once the bottom hair is smooth, move upwards, repeat untill you get to the top of the hair. This will prevent hair from breaking.

I hope that you have found these tips helpful.

Beauty Tips Tuesday

Hello Everyone, Welcome to this week's 'Beauty Tips Tuesday'. The tips for this week will be all about make up!

Tip #1:
*For a defined cheek look, use an angled brush to contour with a matte powder that is 2 shades darker than your skintone. Use a kabuki brush to buff out and blend in the powder so that there isn't a harsh line.
*Then use a blusher brush to apply your blush onto the apples of your cheeks using circular motions. Blend out the blush using the same kabuki brush that you have used to blend out your contour colour. Apply a light dusting of the blush again to make your blusher look brighter and to help it last longer.
*Apply a highlighter by drawing a mini C starting at your browbone and ending on the highest part of the cheek (ie. under eye area).

An illustartion that shows you which areas to contour and which areas to highlight.

Tip #2:
Eyeshadow tips, apply a creamy eyeashadow base that has a strong lasting power using a flat brush in a patting motion and then blend it. Apply a wash of colour on top of the creamy eyeshadow base. Use a fluffly dome brush to apply eyeshadow onto the crease. Start applying the shadow at the outermost part of the crease then blend it inwards.

Tip #3:
Below is a list that I find very useful when I have no idea what to apply on my cheeks or lips after I've done my eyeshadow. It is very important to wear a look that is pulled together to balance it out so that it doesn't look over the top.
When using Pink/Purple or Blue Eyeshadows pair it with Pink/Plum Blush and Lip colour.
When using Earth-tone (olive, green, brown or tan) eyeshadows, use a Peach Blush colour and a Peach/Nude Lip colour.
When using Rainforest Eyeshadows (teal, turquoise or bright green), use a Coral Blush and a Coral Lip colour.

I hope that you have enjoyed this post and I hope that you have found it informative. Thanks for reading
